QUEEN'S PARK 5  AYRSHIRE AFA 1

Monday 12th December 2011, Kick-off 7:30pm

Lesser Hampden Park, Glasgow

Ayrshire started the match very well and could consider themselves unlucky to be a goal behind on the half hour mark, and indeed Queens added another shortly after and had a spell of controlling the match before half time.

Ayrshire made all of their changes at half time and suffered the consequences when James Patrick picked up an injury soon after the re-start and had to come off, meaning the team played the majority of the second half with ten men.

Queens Park were controlling the possession of the match and got another goal to extend their lead, however Shaun Allan scored a fine goal to give some hope for the Select team, as he controlled well in the box before turning and firing a low drive into the corner of the net.

The match was becoming very stretched and Queens added another couple of goals in the last ten minutes as the Ayrshire team tired, resulting in a scoreline which flattered the hosts.  Another good workout for the team and some good performances.
